Aurora Early Learning Centre has created a team to join this year’s Mother’s Day Classic that will take place in Parramatta on Sunday 12 May 2109. The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. The aim is to deliver a fun, healthy and inspirational community event that brings the community together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer. It’s a decision that gives hope to the 50 women diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia every day. We are hoping to make a difference in our community. Some of us may have had the unfortunate brush with breast cancer with our loved ones or someone we know. As a personal story, our Centre owner, Dalal’s husband, Sony Lim has had 2 indirect encounters with breast cancer. He lost one of his dear aunt to breast cancer in early 90’s. Subsequently last year, Sony’s mother, Arlina was diagnosed with breast cancer and has fortunately survived it. Fortunately, she has been living cancer free since. We have sponsored our staff to register for the event and have also donated for the event. We encourage our families and friends to join us to also support this great cause. Every family that signs up and join team Aurora will receive a thank-you bag with caps, bottles, etc as a sign of appreciation from our team. Please come and speak to our staff for further details if required. ONLINE REGISTRATIONS Close 11.59pm Friday 10 May 2019 WHERE Parramatta Park, Western Sydney. WHEN Sunday 12 May 2019 from 6.30am. DISTANCES 4km walk, 4km run, 8km walk, 8km run REGISTRATION WEBSITE https://www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/events/event-map/western-sydney/ When register, please note:
Your donation and fundraising efforts go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a 100% community-funded organisation. The National Breast Cancer Foundation invests in innovative world-class research and works towards zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. That includes research to improve detection, develop new treatments and help women and men affected by breast cancer live longer and better lives. It’s a decision that gives hope to the 50 women diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia every day. We are thrilled of the opportunity for you to share in our common goal to raise the fund this year and continue to support vital research projects. Together we can make Mother’s Day mean more.
